Post: CPA vs Financial Advisor

I'm preparing to buy my first house hacking property. I'm debating whether or not I should seek advice from a CPA, financial advisor, or both prior to getting a property under contract. Thoughts?

Any recommendations for these advisors in West Michigan?

Thanks.

I've been debating whether to start investing in Grand Rapids or in the Washtenaw county area. I'm looking for small multi family properties, 2-4 units. I currently reside in Washtenaw County but have been considering moving back to my home town in Grand Rapids. Does anyone have any recommendations for real estate agents in the Grand Rapids area? Or have any advice for investing in Grand Rapids?

Thanks in advance!

I didn't realize that was an option. That would provide a good opportunity to compare the paid vs free online calculators. I'll have to check it out!

These are the main two that I've been using. They're pretty similar, just displays the info a little differently.

Hope this helps!

What are some of the most common tax related mistakes you see new investors make?

Do you recommend any tax strategies that should be made before closing on a deal?

I'm a new investor from Michigan interested in multi family / house hacking investing.

Any advice you have is appreciated!

Thank you.

I have been been contemplating the same thing. I have been using free calculators online through a couple different resources, that appear to be similar to the ones available via the pro membership. I'm new to the investing world, but the free calculators seem to work appropriately.

Hello Bigger Pockets World!

My name is Alicia. I am a new real estate entrepreneur searching for multi family homes in SE Michigan.  I currently reside in Washtenaw County for my current job. I am starting to prepare to buy my first property and am hoping to make connections in the area. I'm specifically looking for recommendations for real estate agents. I am trying like to connect with other investors in the area. I would like to discuss the successes and failures of local investors. So if you're reading this and you're in the area, send me a message!

I'd love to hear from you.
