I was the one who was initially interested in REI and when I introduced it to my husband, he became super intrigued - we do have different long term goals (me - networth of $1M+ in 10 years and him - making enough to quit his full time job) but I think our goals will eventually net out and converge since we have decided on the BRRRR strategy. We had a heart to heart literally just this afternoon because I'm one who can go full speed ahead and multitask and do a million things at once but I felt he wasn't moving as quickly as he should so we just had to bring our thoughts to the forefront and ensure we were still aligned. I say all that to say, maybe let him know your frustrations and work together to figure out your goals and then based on your goals you can back in to what strategy you should tackle. Once you figure out the strategy then you can develop the plan to execute

@Janene Avery Welcome to the BP community! I'm a newbie myself and looking to purchase my first investment property. There are a ton of resources here on BP so consume as much as you can. Also, join a local REI club, there's Texas REIA's, North Texas REA, etc. All can be found on facebook

Good luck to you!

@Roger Matthews, I sold my home here in Texas back in 2017 to cash buyers from San Jose and they were not required to be present at closing.  I don't know if that's because they were the buyer and I was the seller but hoping to provide an additional POV

@Ryan Blake I'm looking to purchase my first BRRRR property and I have my hard money lender already, but i'm looking for my long term lender for when I need to do the refinance and making a list of banks. What questions do you ask when you shop around for the lender to refinance?

@Vernon Watts Hey there! Thanks! In terms of criteria, I'm looking for preferable 3+ beds, 2+ baths SFR or small Multi-family units. PP < $150k. BRRRR or buy and hold properties. I'm ok working with off market properties via wholesalers or on markets via MLS.

Thank you @Brenden Mitchum!  I'm originally from Georgia, went to Georgia Tech and lived in Atlanta 13 years before moving to Dallas, so I feel like I'm more familiar in that market vs. DFW.  My parents just offloaded an investment property in Marietta near the up and coming Cobb Energy Theatre, I wish I would've had foresight to know that I'd be getting in to this game, I would've snatched it up from them!  Would love to connect with you as I start building my team there
