So I am looking to invest in properties. Not in a bad situation but don't have my own money to buy it. I could take out a loan easily but curious to hear other ways you guys have found to get the money for your first property. What did you do and how did it turn out?

@Aaron Lee Murphy I hate sound stupid but I'm a fan of "I rather ask a question and sound dumb for five minutes over not asking at all and be dumb forever". So does this work if you take out a loan to get the property. Say you get a loan to buy the house, get it apprised and refinance. Don't you have to take that $80000 and pay of the loan Or is that where the renting it comes in play?

I'm a newbie in the real estate rehabbing market. I ran across BRRRR on a Brandon podcast. I understand most of it but got a little confused on The refinance part. Can some explain it in a newbie mindset? Thanks in advance

Me and a partner are looking to start a non profit organization for at risk/ abused women. Thinking of buying a 6 to 10 unit property. My question is, I want to apply for government grants to help purchase the property but I don't know if I can. Do I apply first and purchase or purchase then apply? Looking for advice from anyone who may have experience in the area. Thank you in advance.
