@Roberto Lara Do y'all still host any in-person REI meetups in Laredo? I am going to be in the area with the National Guard for the next couple of months and would love to learn more about REI in Laredo and connect with local investors. I am interested in working on my first property renovation while I am in the area

Hi - I also invest in Columbus from out of state and would love to connect and attend any future virtual meet-ups. Happy to chat about real estate and would love to learn about what others are doing in the market.

@Elijah Brown congrats, love your story man - I also closed on my first deal while out in the field for IBOLC at Fort Benning last summer - can definitely relate to the excitement of sneaking a cell phone check to find out you are now officially a real estate investor!

Hi @Kelly Anna Geiser - I'd also love to connect! I have recently started real estate investing myself and am looking to start flipping properties in DFW this year and could always use another eye for design

@Richard Helppie-Schmieder I'd definitely be interested in meeting up for a drink or a meal - always nice to talk real estate and meet some other people with a similar real estate mindset

I would also love to connect and network! I moved to Dallas from Virginia about two years ago and want to get started building a real estate portfolio and network in the DFW area. I love the many income generating opportunities real estate provides and am mainly interested in long term buy and hold/BRRRR rentals by using some short term flips to raise capital to grow my rental portfolio.

Hi @Harrison Barber - did you have any success with deals in the Columbus market? I'm also looking to invest in Columbus when I get to Benning for training next month - any recommendations on a real estate agent or local lender? Thanks

Hi, I am a rookie real estate investor from Dallas, TX looking to buy my first deal (or a couple deals) in Columbus GA while I am at Fort Benning for Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course through the Texas Army National Guard from mid-July through November. I would love to connect with any other investors from the Columbus and Phenix City, AL areas while I am there. I'm also looking for a GA real estate agent and local lender (and eventually contractors/property managers) if anybody on here has any recommendations or wants to funnel some business to any connections. Thanks!

@Craig Sloan Based on your recommendations, it definitely sounds like electric baseboard heat would be the way to go so the tenants bear the cost rather than the landlord and I'll definitely verify that tenants pay utilities as well - thanks for the advice and I appreciate your offer, I may reach out if I have any further questions!
