@Shawn O'Gorman

I’m 19, I’m an agent, and have flipped 3 properties this (past 12 months) year so far and acquired 2 low end rentals. On top of that I’ve sold 16 homes. Never too early. I started with nothing but a life guarding job at the YMCA and a desire to succeed in my passion. I’m not bragging, I’m just saying... don’t doubt your abilities. I still live with my parents, I still drive my rav-4, and it’s going to stay like that for as long as I can keep it. Go at it my man! Message me if you are interested in knowing more.

@Rachel Luoto

Can’t pay their previous landlord and now they want to sue because you rejected them? Well what do you expect will happen to you? Like people have said, tell them you’ll wait to hear from your attorney and disconnect any sorts of communication with them. If this did end up going anywhere, hopefully it won’t take too much time... best of luck!

I would like to assume the worst and hope for the best. Your tenant may not be wise by running 4 heaters whilst having a working heating unit and that sounds like an issue that needs to be addressed. But your tenant was concerned, and they did the right thing by contacting you and you did the right thing by getting someone out there to examine the issue. Not too much that can be done differently.

Jordan, I took my real estate course in high school. Find your local academy and figure out how long it will take you to complete the course. Then when you find that out, for example I took my course when I was 17 and 10 months. It took me 2 months to complete the course so on my birthday I took my exam and obtained my license. I’m now 19, about to turn 20 and I’m averaging about 7 closings a month and now teaming up to invest into some properties (and it’s only getting better). I’ll tell you my honest opinion is that you are going to pay way too much for a degree that doesn’t mean jack s**t and will teach you nothing. On top of that you will waste your time when you could be learning from a mentor and making money. I will warn you, get ready to be around a bunch of old folks who will laugh at you for even trying. It definitely was hard for me, but now I’m laughing at them. You have a huge advantage. Don’t go to college please.
