Post: Partnering with a friend on a multifamily:

I would love to hear from those who got into real estate investing with a friend as a partnership for a multifamily home. My friend and I are considering getting a multifamily home (duplex, triplex, etc) as a partnership. We plan to house hack for the first year as well.

What made it work and what are some things that you think others should consider before getting into it?

I know for-sure we would have an operating agreement in place and document everything.

Thanks for the feedback and advice in advance!

Post: Starting off as a wholesaler

Hey! So I had made a post about getting started and my preferred route is still 'house hacking a SFH/Duplex' for my first property. If things line up, looking to acquire in the spring/summer.

However I'm curious who got started as a wholesaler?

What route did you take to get started as a wholesaler and why? What would you do different if you were to do it all over again (as a wholesaler).

@Michael Craig that's dope! Yeah buying a duplex and renting out one unit seems like the best route to get started.

I love that you went and helped a mentor with renovations. I have a couple friends in the space and I'll have to try that out. What did you usually look for in the those properties that made you make an offer?

@Jaron Walling sweet. What do the numbers and market usually come out to be for you to decide to flip versus rent?

@Joseph Firmin yeah if I go with a rental I think I want to try the BRRR process (so far that seems to be the best route). Any feedback on what to know or things to research more in regards to the BRRR process?

@Steven Foster Wilson that's awesome to hear. Is there a reason you went with that property (numbers made sense)?

Sticking with flipping or doing some rentals as well?

I'm new to real estate and learning still. However my goal is to purchase my first investment by next summer/fall. I would love to hear the process you took to get your first property and the strategy (ie. saved up, partnered with someone, rent occupied, etc).

Thanks!
