Quote from @Melanie P.:

The numbers look good, you included many categories posters frequently omit, be forewarned real life never lives up to these projections. Bottom line is you have a deal that could reduce your monthly living expenses to $100/mo. If it turns out to be slightly better or worse no matter this is a winner and you should get it done ASAP.

 Melanie,

Thank you so much for your response!  I will move forward immediately!

Hello!!

I'm looking to buy a house hack and am currently in the process of running numbers.  Hoping to see if someone is able to let me know how accurate my numbers are?

Thank you!

Hello!!

Not quite a new member as I've been lurking these forums for years, finally deciding to get serious and figured doing the "New Member Introduction" post would be a good step.

Briefly about me:  I'm currently working as a merchant mariner (3rd Mate) and I travel for work about half the year, looking to get into real estate investing to supplement my income and begin building a portfolio during the half of the year when I am home.

I have been volunteering with local Habitat for Humanity groups to learn how to renovate houses, and currently looking for my first house hack or flip in the southeastern MA area (have been looking at areas such as Barnstable, Plymouth, and Bristol counties).  I also attend the "Multifamily Investors Network of MA" meetup that is hosted monthly in the Boston area when I am home.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hello!

I've been looking into investing for a long time trying to figure out what the right strategy for me is.  I've finally decided to try turnkey investing as it seems to make the most sense for me at this time as a way to just get into investing.  I've been analyzing properties that Rent to Retirement has in their inventory but I want to make sure I'm doing it the right way.

Is there anyone in the Cicero, IN market that would be able to help me figure out if the numbers I'm running are good estimations or way off?  They have pro formas for each property but I'd like to approach with more conservative estimates, as well as getting inputs from investors in that market if possible.

I didn't want to just post the numbers here as I'm not sure if RTR want to disclose the info but I can PM my work to anyone willing to assist me.

All the best,

Alex Longinidis

Hey folks!

New guy trying to get his foot in the door with learning about real estate, wondering if there are any local REIA's I can check out, I've done a few google searches but haven't found anything updated in a couple years.
