Post: Bid for Tree Removal Cost in Independence MO

Hi All,

I have a property in independence and wanted to get a tree removed. I got a bid for $5.6k. I am wondering if that cost is correct or at least close to what it should be. I have never had to remove a tree before, so not sure how much this should cost. The tree is 50 foot tall and 9ft in circumference. Any advice would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Alex Chau

@Josue Vargas Have you considered refinancing less out as to increase cash flow unless you need that full amount to relocate.

@J. Martin besides unemployment, for places like the bay area, wouldn't public transit be a good indicator as well. I say this as a good bulk of the ppl living here take bart for their daily commute. In recent news, I believe a month ago, Bart stated that ridership has gone down 5% and even worse 9% for weekend riderships.

Hi guys,

I am a relatively new investor and thinking about moving to socal for a change in location and I would like to connect with some realtors and like minded investors to see what my options are in terms of purchasing and househacking in the los angeles area. My plan is to first purchase the property (preferably Multi-family with FHA loan) and have it all rented out with either a room or preferably a unit vacant for me to use when I move down. Would love to hear your opinions, pros and cons, if this is doable (multi with an FHA loan). Also what would you guys say the average ball park on the starting capital needed be.

Hi guys,

I am from the bay area and thinking about moving to Houston and I was hoping to get some insight on the Houston Real Estate market for duplex to 4 plexes. What I would like to do is purchase a property and getting it rented out with one unit vacant for when I move there. So for the bay area house hacking means subsidizing your mortgage, so my question for houston is if it's possible to find one where the rent from the other units be able to cover the mortgages and etc or at least cover majority of it. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi all,

I live in the bay area and I was wondering if I was able to put a tiny house in my backyard. The property is zoned for SFH. My plan is to use it sparingly as an airbnb rental and a "guest house". My perspective is what is stopping me from building a "tree house" and renting it out through airbnb. Any thoughts?

Hi guys,

I am still a novice in real estate investing, and still just trying to learn as much as i can. My question is if you have multiple properties, lets say 3, for a 1031 exchange, can you sell all 3 at once and do a 1031 exchange to roll the proceeds into 1 larger property?

@J. Martin

Hi J., I understand the concept behind the furnished rentals, but how do you find places that will let you sublease it out to do this? Is it just by networking with other investors or do you just negotiate the lease terms when signing the agreement.
