@Jennifer S. I have a friend who is in city planning and he said its going to get done 100%. It is going to just take a while.

Fall River line will get done first by 2024. New Bedford line will get done by 2030. Its going to be a long time and that is why the time to buy is now. I just bought a triplex in NB and I'm doing marketing to find more right now. I plan on holding these properties for the long haul.

When I look at FR and NB I see very different cities. I see FR as a place where people work and NB as a place where they sleep...and catch the Ferry to MV. I can see in 20 or 25 years that NB could have some similar qualities to Falmouth/Wood's Hole area.

This is the ferry that runs today:

Like I said though, I'm in it for the long haul. Good cash flow there today. Not placing any bets on appreciating properties.

Awesome thank you. I will watch these. I’m only burning $1,500 a month on marketing with good results so it’s not out of control yet.

I really like the New Bedford waterfront. Good oysters too http://www.theblackwhale.com/

There is actually a lot I like about New Bedford. They redid some of the intersections downtown to look pretty nice.

FR and NB desperately need southcoast rail project to come to life.

Post: Second floor plumbing broken?

I was touring a three unit house and the owner claimed the plumbing was brand new. In the basement I confirmed new piping and water tanks. When I tried to run the faucet on the second floor which was vacant, the agent said the owner turned off the water on that floor. The first floor is occupied. Do you think they turned off the water so no one goes in there and runs the bill up? Or do you think the plumbing job isn't quite done and not disclosed... Would an inspector be able to pick up on any problems? Thanks
