Hi, I am an Australian looking to get into property, however the market here is pretty inflated and rental yields low, so I have been looking at other options such as the U.S. Does anyone have any recommendations/ advice on how to go about this, where to look, what areas are recomended etc. Or if anyone else is doing or has done this can share their story?

Am interested in buying a property in Brisbane since Sydney and Melbourne seem too expensive for the moment, anyone have any recommendations for which suburbs or areas would be good?

Thanks for your reply David. I didn't mention I am Australian too, and have the same thoughts as you, by overseas I meant outside your own country. Are you doing this?

Im originally from Australia and am looking into my options in buying property back there. Cities like Sydney and Melbourne are going through major overbuilding and are trending down. Along with this the USD is buying $1.30ish AUD so you are getting an extra 30% buying power with US Dollars

Hi Josh, I am from and living in Australia also, even though its trending down 10% isn't that much and i'm still not seeing much value anywhere, especially Sydney

As the title says, where are you seeing value at the moment and are you buying?

Is anyone here seeing value in overseas markets? Which are currently most undervalued in your opinion? How hard is it to invest as an inetrnational investor/ non resident?
