@Orlando Spencer,
Thanks so much for the tip, and for the lead on where to go in the future, this will be very helpful!

@Steve G.,
I actually have no desire at all to be a standard realtor, the only reason I would get the RE license would be to help on the investment side of things. Thanks for helping me with that time line. I'll be waiting on this until later. Thanks again!

@Steve G., I am referring to the time line in which I should be getting my education done. Is getting your real estate license a good starting point? Or should that be looked at down the road after I have more knowledge, or will I learn a lot that way? Thanks!

@Robert Niosi, Because it was my only rental property at the time, I managed it myself. I used a basic rental agreement form and they just had to have a check to my before the 7th of each month.

It may have been worth it to hold on to it longer; however, at the time I was in another investment / much large in the aviation industry so the money was needed at that point.

I'm a beginner myself! That is why I am here, trying to learn all that I can. Once I figure out my REI strategy, I'll decide if I want to go near campuses again or not... We will see!

@Chad Carson

Thanks for writing on this topic, I appreciate your additional feedback to the blog posts. Very good blog posts by the way! I have just one more question, I have been doing a lot of  reading and webinars at this point, is now that right time to take my realtors license course? I still know very little, not sure if that's the right order to do things in.

Thanks again for clarifying my questions, this helped a lot.

4. No, but you will need a good understanding of wholesaling.

5. No requirement to be a licensed Realtor (although it can often be useful). Read the Wholesaling post above for more information or search Bigger Pockets or Google for further info.

Let me know if you want to schedule a call with me for more information. Always happy to help wherever I'm able.

Thanks

Steve

 Thanks Steve for the information and links! I appreciate you taking the time to put that together for me.

How did you like having students as tenants? I myself am viewing a property this week with student tenants in northeastern PA.

 Hey Robert, I didn't mind having students as tenants at all! I had a previous rental unit that I had student in that I did not properly interview. He ended up being a bit of a party guy and trashed the place over a 1 year period of time, he didn't get his deposit back.

However, in this unit that this topic is about, I ended up interviewing the girls that were going to live in the unit, they were VERY busy students and didn't have time for much else. Great renters!

 I'm in the process of learning my strategy and what will work for me in RE; I'm learning a lot in this first quarter of the year, so I am not certain where I will end up in the 2nd quarter yet! But I am getting closer.
