Does anyone have a go to paint color that they use time and time again? I am looking for specific brand and color. I am looking for a beige/neutral color, and its something that I would like to use throughout all of my rentals. I am getting frustrated with trying to match colors or forgetting what color I had on what wall, I want something that I do every time so it takes the guess work out of it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@Christopher Gardino Great question I have been looking into that myself. @Jerry W. I like your response, makes sense .

Thanks @Jean Bolger

It appreciate your insights. I will definitely check out the healthcare marketplace. As you mentioned healthcare is your largest monthly expense and that is precisely why I was so concerned with this issue, so thank you for your honesty and real life experience.

Thanks @Jon Holdman I was just about to look into Obama care. Hopefully that will shed some light, or at least rule out an option. Thanks!

Thank you @Matt Devincenzo I appreciate you sharing your personal experience and information. I wish there was an REIA locally I could attend for I know how valuable they can be. I know there are healthcare plans out there we can purchase but I also know how costly they can be, I guess that was my main concern was the expense of it all. And yes that is something we we will have to budget for. Thanks again.

@Pat L.

Thank you for your insight as well. I'm sorry your having to deal with that nightmare and I hope it gets better for you. It would be a sad day if it came to relying on offshore accommodations.

@Steven Hamilton II

Thank you, I will look into group coverage, etc. I just wasn't sure what to look for or what to call it. I appreciate the feedback.

Welcome Scott!

I don't have as much experience as many people on this site, but my husband did just what you are talking about. He is an army veteran and we used our VA loan for our 4 plex. It was the first piece of real estate we ever bought and it has done very well for us. We wanted to get the most bang for the buck out of our VA loan. We lived in one unit and rented out the other three while we were stationed at Fort Hood TX. We started doing the land lording ourselves while we lived there and then passed if off to professional property management when we moved, which was well worth the 10% they charge! In my humble opinion I would use your VA loan for the four plex and have property management run it for you, especially since we know how frequently our military gets moved around. I also wanted to let you know that you are able to use your VA loan more than once at a time, I think its called a second tier VA loan. Don't quote me on that but something like that. Hopefully the following link will help a bit. http://benefits.va.gov/HOMELOANS/documents/docs/2014_county_loan_limits.pdf

Best of luck to you and thank you for your service!

-Alissa

Karen,

I appreciate your response. I am not an agent, although I have been toying with the idea...I guess that will be a different post. I will look into small business practices. Thanks again, I appreciate the feedback.
