Post: Almost licensed, looking for Exclusive Buyer Agency in So Cal

The subject line pretty much says it all,

I've just completed my Prerequisite courses for the state of California. I will be sending in my application for exam soon, however I was wondering If there are any Exclusive Buyer Agency Brokerages in Southbay Area of LA County?

I've been listening to podcasts, youtube videos, and asking around about who I should hang my license with, and the consensus is, that the best way to start is working with buyers.

Any words of wisdom?  Anyone in this area know of these types of brokers?

Please, any help will be appreciated.  Thankyou

First off, thankyou so much for your reply.  I really appreciate your input

I understand what you're saying, about how I would not be an asset to a broker if I told them that I wanted to do REI. I would need to be able to contribute to that brokerage being full time and committed.

I do not plan on investing in real estate anytime soon.  It's more of a long term goal of mine, say 5+ years from now, when the market is not so hot. But I know without a doubt that Real estate investing is where my heart is!

I'm really passionate about real estate.  I plan on being a full time agent and working my butt off.  I don't know if I'm going to work with buyers or seller, but for now I just want to hang my license with a Broker, find a mentor, connect with people, and feel out the industry, all while constantly learning and being a student when I need to be.

Again, thank you for your input

Hi,

I'm finishing up my Real Estate courses for the State of California to receive my license with an end goal to invest in real estate and to make Real Estate a full time career.  I will be applying for my exam and license soon, but I am torn as to which broker I want to hang my license with.

I'm not so much concerned with commission splits or broker fees.  I am wondering if there are others out there who already do what I want to do? Do they work with a monthly fee brokerage?  What is it like to work there and are there opportunities for training? Do they work with sellers/ buyers?

Im basically like any new applicant/licensee, wondering what its like on the other side

Any advice?  Anyone in Los Angeles, California that can explain what it's like there?

Thankyou to everyone in advance!

Hello everyone,

I am in the Army (I plan on getting out soon) and have a small family that I cherish.  My Love for Real Estate began when I was a boy watching my father in his construction business.

Anyways, Im not trying to bore anyone with my Life Story here, but I recently bought a house near my base in El Paso, TX.  Although it is my Primary Residence, I purchased it with my mind set on eventually turning it around and selling it (or renting it out).  The problem is I don't know the first thing about where this can go or how I will go about doing this.  Any help or insight would be appreciated.

I've read several articles and posts from forums on this website and I am intrigued to say the least.  It has helped open my eyes a little bit and has helped reignite my interest in real estate, and I plan to continue learning from this.  Thankyou!
