Hello team. What if we were to look at the Bitcoin in a different light. What if there were a vehicle utilizing Bitcoin and it's growth as a source of funds to enable a person to invest in real estate (or even a non-real estate cause for that matter)?

A friend of mine introduced me to a CROWDFUNDING PLATFORM where you can spend 0.10 of a Bitcoin (around $150 one time depending on what Bitcoin is selling for) and ACCUMULATE BITCOIN on a MONTHLY basis!

Here is a look at historical bitcoin growth: http://www.coindesk.com/price/

If you don't know much about Bitcoin, here is some great information about Bitcoin and the funding platform.  As mentioned in one of the previous posts the bitcoin proceeds go into your personal wallet to be used as you see fit. Why not another revenue stream???

Just to follow up on the contradicting IRA response, the gentleman is mistaken. Educate yourself on this subject then discuss it with your CPA.

It normally takes two to three weeks to open an account at a typical brokerage firm, and you'll need to find a custodian who will hold real estate inside an IRA. The down payment must come from IRA funds, so rollovers may be required.

When a real estate investment is contracted, the IRA account holder reviews and signs the purchase agreement and then the custodian must approve it and release of funds to the title company. All of this takes time, so it's prudent to learn as much as you can before jumping into a decision.

Hi One of the things you can do is roll over some 401k funds into a self directed regular or Roth IRA. Then you would have some funding available at your disposal. Just a thought.

Thanks Laura. I realize that quite a few agents take the stand that their contracts are not assignable but when you read through them, there is nothing prohibiting the assignment. It really comes down to their lack of understanding / knowledge in this area.

Can I use the realtor's contract to assign an MLS property and if so how. The contract I have has this baked in but a conventional contract doesn't. Can I write this clause in?

Thanks,

Mike Jordan

Hi, I too am a transplant working in Plano and living in Prosper. Relatively new to investing. Only been to one meetup. This group that have responded sounds like a nice bunch of folks that could possibly meet up and even possibly start something for the Frisco and north area investors???

Just a thought.

Best to you Jon

what I'd really like to know is do you guys use a general contractor who then runs the subs or do you typically put the team together individually?

Thanks,

Mike Jordan

Hi,

I am looking for an experienced rehab GC to add to my team. I am located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I do have a very systematic system for vetting out companies so hopefully they will be a bit long suffering and be able to provide me with all the info my company requires. If anyone already has a team which I could possibly utilize at times as well, that would be awesome or if you can provide any references it would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Mike Jordan
