@Annie Bollini it is spread over 3 days. So I felt like 2 entire days were wasted. And when I say 8 hours, it is stuff I just never knew but not much on the actual 'how to' buy tax liens, all very general info...stuff you could find easily on your own. But do what you think is best for you!

@David French I would say a good 9 or 10 people bought it. I even saw one older couple pulling out 3 credit cards to pay for it :( I felt horrible for them. @Annie Bollini if you have any real estate or investment foundation I think you will find only about 8 hours of helpful info. The rest is more psychological fluff to make you feel like you aren't part of the "herd" and missing out on opportunities (which is to spend 34k on their program). I almost bought in but couldn't find ANYTHING on ProSource. After some deeper digging I found the LLC that owns it had the same address as the LLC that owns Tax Lien Buyers Club. Coincidence?? I think not. I found tons of negative stuff on TLBC. So glad I did because that kept me from running up my own credit cards.

Hi all! I have had a Self Directed IRA for about 5 years that has just been rotting...zero interest and a 3 digit account maintenance fee deduction every year by the holder. I need to do something with this money! There is a decent amount in there but not enough to buy a property. It would be enough for a down payment on a home but being a 1099 employee it is rather difficult to obtain traditional financing. Any recommendations on how I can invest with this IRA?

@Will M. I sell real estate in Las Vegas and while we are seeing a little bit of a slow down these last couple of months in the over 300k price point, I don't think we are at the top of the market and we are still lower than 2006 prices. So many projects are projected for completion in 2020 including the Raiders stadium and now rumors of an MLB stadium where Rio is...I think it will be at least 2 or 3 years before the market stabilizes. https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/casinos-gaming/6-major-projects-could-reshape-las-vegas-strip-skyline-by-2020/

@Claudia Starr I sell real estate and people buy investment properties all the time with 30 year fixed loans. The downside is because they are an investment and therefore higher risk, they usually require 20% down and interest rates are typically about 1% higher than home owner occupant loans. My clients have done most through mortgage companies too as I've found the bigger banks tend to mess up my deals. Good luck!

I am in the training this weekend. There is an option to purchase further education to the tune of 5 digits but for that they say ProSource has bought 70 million of tax liens from the secondary market just this year (hedge fund gamblers u loading before redemption period expires?) that they are able to buy cheap and sell to students at a small profit but that is where there money is made in volume. They will help the student with next steps but they vet the liens they are selling and with this method of buying after redemption 1 in 10 end in a property as opposed to 1 in 100 for a do it yourselfer. Any thoughts on that?? Debating whether to buy in...
