Single-family residence buy & hold investment in Terre Haute.

Purchase price: $46,000

Purchased and lived in this house for 15 years, now renting it out long term...
Now I just need to duplicate this 1,000 times...

Necessity...

Traditional mortgage.

How did you add value to the deal?

Renovations and new roof.

$750/mo rent.

No.

I'm an airline pilot living in Fairhope, AL. I currently have an income property in Indiana, and looking to purchase in the Gulf Shores, AL area in late 2019/early 2020.

I’m here to learn everything I can in the mean time....

I'd be open to any advice from or connections with local investors/mentors...

Thanks for the info on ALREI!! I also found a club called Professional Investors Group (P.I.G.) that gathers in Mobile. The organizer is from Daphne, just up the road from me. Have you heard of them?

I would really like to do short term but I'll have to start with a property that is less than $100k total invested, including any rehab and furnishings. I know that leaves pretty slim pickins' in that area, so I'm going to be looking at wholesalers and auctions to start.
