Hello- also in a longterm build in Cape Coral for new construction. Current status is that the Dept of Health has not yet issued the Septic Permit yet. This has been ongoing since August. I am visiting CC later this month, and will call again this week.

Is there any benefit to visiting DoH offices in person? When calling or visiting, are there any suggestions to get them to expedite this?  I know the average turnaround for Septic Permit has been 10-12 weeks, but we are now at 20 weeks, which seems excessive.

If anyone has experience with this, would welcome any suggestions.  Thank you.

I’m a contractor building in Cape Coral and it usually takes 4-6 weeks to get that permit. There must be a reason that it is taking so long, but as long as everything got submitted correctly and paid it shouldn’t take that long. Permits usually takes an average of 4 weeks to get.

It's not likely that with the number of lawsuits already out against Blacktip, there is going to be anything worth fighting for. It's throwing good money after bad. I got out of my contract. If you need the lawyer's name let me know.

So now I'm sitting on owning an empty lot and still making loan payments. There is no way I can build this and come out overall profitable. Costs are too high and I'm into this for over 100K.

I have feelers out for someone who might accept my lot as participation for an equity agreement in a new build. If you know anyone, let me know!

Or you can build, and keep it for rental until you make your money back on what you have spent up to date and then sale for profit.

I got a quote to build - I need another $80K cash at least.  I'm not going to do that and hope for the best.

If you like I can send you a proposal for finishing up your build to see where I’m at to see if it still makes sense

Hello everyone, I should have jumped on here to see this about Blacktip.

I had a project that I started on which their Subs went onto my project and destroyed what I had. I spoke with them directly and they didn’t want to take ownership of it. My only reply was that Karma will get you.

When i started my project, Their project was right next door and Flying the trusses. I finished mine and their project is still stuck at the phase with a bunch of garbage in the front.

If anyone on here would like to finish their project, I am a contractor working over there. I have finished a few projects already and ready to take on more projects.

I don’t know how I haven’t seen this post.

I’m a contractor and also building at Cape Coral for investors. All of my permits have been approved within +\- 30 Days. I started the first one in January and going to request C/O next week. I have another 5 that I’m working.

The longest delay is the floor plans.

Pricing is about right, depends all on the Floor plans you select. My projects costs more in Miami-Dade and Broward County then the rest of the places that I do New constructions
