Craigs list is also good to look at for current rental prices. You are looking real time rent prices.

What about putting in a medicine cabinet?

Another option is to put recessed shelves in the space between the studs.

Here are a couple sites

Real Carriage Doors

carriagedooropeners.com

Just do a search for carriage door openers for more options. Because these are not common, the cost is higher than normal garage door openers.

I would recommend driving around the area and see what looks good, On the gulf coast of Florida many of houses are painted with pastels. I am guessing that Sea Foam Green and Coral wouldn't be a good choice for your area.

Nation Wide Homes is  a modular home manufacturer. http://www.nationwide-homes.com/index.cfm I built several homes using them in Florida, but that was over 7 years ago. They made a good product. I think the company had a construction group in Virginia. If you contact them they would be able to help you with a builder that uses their homes.

This is the multifamily home plans on their website, but there are more options than these and they can design about anything you want.

I disagree, at lease making an assumption on my part. If the property was shown with an over the range microwave and no counter microwave, and the lease states that there is a microwave, then there is a reasonable expectation that the microwave in the apartment over the range be in working order. It is telling that the landlord changed the lease after it was signed.

Battle was probably a poor choice of words on my part. My question was more along the lines of if whether having two prospective tenants looking at the same time has helped to add pressure for the tenants to rent the property.

Dose that ever turn into a battle to rent the property if more that one prospective tenant shows up?
