I would not go much north of North Ave. Unless you go further west towards Menomonee pkway past at least 80th then you can start venturing north a bit more by a few blocks. From that 55th area I wouldn't go much farther then honey Creek Parkway area. It's a real small sliver of area but as you know in Milwaukee things can change very quickly by crossing one street

@Brandyn Dietman

I also agree with what has been previously said. I would stay west of the park. The demographic of renter quality changes drastically and it is a higher crime area. I have a spot on 52nd st that is getting strong rent and is not that far west of the park but still west, and I can tell a big difference. You also get a good mix of single family homes and owner occupied duplexes which keeps the area nice. I would also stay south of North ave unless you get passed like 82nd st or so.

Hello BP Nation!

My name is Adam Trantow, I am currently living in Milwaukee Wisconsin. A friend turned me onto the BP podcasts and I already have listened to the first 40 podcasts in about 2 weeks. I Bought my first duplex (owner occupant) 3 years ago, but have always had the lingering thought that I should be doing more + I simply did not know where to start. Currently, I have been finding myself interested in learning wholesaling, fix/flip, and buy/hold. The past few weeks I have been simply trying to absorb the podcasts and different points of view on various areas of real estate to then figure out what might work for me in my area. I am an outside sales manager for a building material supplier in SE Wisconsin + my day to day consists of calling on sub contractors, GCs, and architects for items such as drywall, insulation, steel framing and acoustical grid/tile. Looking forward to meeting the wonderful community members of this site! Do not be shy :)
