Hello, I am going to be moving to Hampton Roads the end of January/beginning of February and was wondering how the market is there. I also was wondering about the REI meet ups in the area, which one(s) would you recommend?

Yeah, I checked out the schedule for the Charleston REIA and because I have a rotating shift schedule at work I rarely get off for the meetings I think I would get the most out of. I would be interested in doing some smaller meetings here and there, on a more flexible schedule. What part of the Charleston area are you in?

Hello everyone my name is Anthony, I currently reside in Summerville SC and am in the Navy. I have been trying to get my foot in the door in real estate investing for some time now but as everyone knows, a busy work schedule and family life leaves little time for pursuing new ventures. I have managed to buy a house, and am looking to put it on the market in a few months due to an upcoming transfer. Short term, my goals are to make contact with an excellent property manager who specializes in single family homes and get my current home rented out once I find out when and where I will be transferring to. My long term goals here are to try to meet as many like-minded people as possible and assemble an investing team to buy and rent single family homes and small multifamily units. I've been researching what I should be looking for and how to do things, but I know that no level of reading books and watching videos can even come close to some real world experience. I have been trying to find out how to get in touch with other real estate investors in the Summerville and Charleston area but I work on a rotating schedule so I don't have much time to make it to the local REI club meetings. Searching the internet for other options lead me here and I hope that it gives me the spark that I've been needing to get my feet wet. Thanks in advance and I hope to hear from you soon!
