Hey Guys,

Any insights on how the rental market and returns are for Multi-families in Fresno? For what I have seen so far the returns are far greater than here in Los Angeles and the economy and job growth are really picking up there.

Any advice on good areas to invest?

Any RE investor meetings to exchange knowledge and network?

Does anyone knows a good PM and an investor friendly RE agent to recommend?

I am thinking about coming up there in the next few weeks to check some properties.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply Karen,

If you know of any properties on OC that fit my criteria please let me know. Huntington Beach, Newport and Laguna are on my list too, just need to find something on my budget on the right location.

Thanks a lot!

Any tips of buildings in Downtown Los Angeles that allow vacation rentals?

I had a great experience running an vacation rental condo in Santa Monica, Ca but unfortunately the HOA asked me to stop. Looking for other places in Southern California do to do the same, there seems to be a lot of demand for it in Downtown and a lot of people are doing it, but l know some are doing it under the table. I want to do it right from the beginning.

Thanks in advance!

Few more details I forgot to add:

  • This would be my first property.
  • My partner would be happy to live in the property if we decide to buy in LA so we could take advantage of an FHA loan.

Hey guys,

For the past few months I have studied a lot about RE and the more I research the more I lean towards investing outside of California. I've been considering buying a multiunit (2 to 4 units) as a rental investment somewhere where cash flows properties are easier to find. Currently looking in Kansas, Indiana and Ohio, but still haven't discard the idea of finding something close to Los Angeles. I have about 65k in cash to invest out of state and if decide to invest in LA I have a partner willing to join the venture with an equal investment.

Do you guys have any suggestions on other cities to invest in rental properties around my budget?

Experiences starting investing small remotely?

Experiences investing in upcoming areas in LA?

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!
