Good afternoon - I am 49 and work a good day job, but my passion has always been to build a multifamily investment business.  Has anyone ever started at my age, with basically nothing but a desire to get it done?

@Jai Reddy

Real estate syndication is “crowdfunding for real estate” before crowdfunding for real estate ever existed. In its most simple form, both syndication and crowdfunding involve pooling capital with other individuals for a common purpose or a common goal.

I am looking for my next project to purchase, rehab and move into. I thought I found one this weekend, but when I ran some prelim numbers, drove by the home and did a more serious analysis, I decided against it. I see 100k in rehab and fees. I have a day job and I feel that is too big of a project to commit to on a part time basis. That size project is probably a little more down the road.

I am glad I went through the analysis practice. I learned that I am not ready for a project that size. A 25-30 Reno is more like it.

The point being that continue to analyze, practice and be honest with what you can handle.
