Hello All!

I know this is a random request, but everything I have learned so far has been from my laptop or a book. I will soon become a real estate agent. While waiting for my exam date I want to learn about the common issues in a house. I feel it will help me when I have to do it myself. Also, encourage me to get over my analysis paralysis. If you are interested or know someone feel free to reach out. I appreciate any feedback in advance!

@Charlie Cameron I would like to join a brokerage that is young and growing or very established in a certain niche. I would like to focus on brokerages that support new agents and have teams or departments that manage flips, new construction projects, financing, property management, etc. This way I can learn about deals and add value to investors, sellers, first-time homebuyers, and other clients. After finding the right brokerage, I would use their model to target customers in my area, the market I would focus on, and my sphere of influence.

I do plan to invest myself. My goal is to house hack then focus on other multi-family properties. So being around agents that are pursuing or accomplished my goals would be the environment I would enjoy being around.

@John Freed awesome story! You are definitely a hustler. I am also new to real estate investing. What has helped me is talking to professionals in my local area. Stop by your local bank, RE brokerage, a general contracting company, etc. Introduce yourself and let them know you are excited to learn. Most people are helpful! Good luck on your journey!

@Steve Pizzarella

Hey I’m also from MA and new to real estate investing! Another option is to check out MA First Time Home Buyer Loans. If you are eligible it’s another egg to add to the basket. Also, more loan options that hopefully tilt in your favor! Keep grinding! Wish you the best on your journey!

Post: Have $6,000 and want to use it to begin investing, any advice?

I have two main goals to reach by the end of 2020. My first goal is to pay off all my debt (everything except student loans), and the second goal is to invest in my first property (house hacking or renting out). I wasn't planning on getting this $6,000 but it was the blessing I needed. So I would love to know what others feel a good investment would be at this time to reach my goals!

Thanks in Advance!
