Hey Jagrut, Bayonne does have some nice areas and is good for commuting to NYC or even any public transportation. Value wise i feel long term Bayonne will do good. People are moving out of NYC to the outskirts hence Jersey City Values are rising. Along with that people have similar approach as you and move to places like Bayonne which are equally as close as JC.

Thanks Ray, Newark is great but i fear the quality tenants and safety. I know there are very bad areas but nice ones as well. Any experience renting out in Newark?

Thanks Chris, i will look in to that for sure. Currently living at home with parents (just graduated last year) so my expenses are a bit less. For sure would get a multi family and move out its the safest way :)

Simcha well said! I feel Jersey is hard in regards to safe zone with the high taxes. Look at a place like philly, i want to invest there as well. Low taxes and price but same prices for rent. I believe real estate is safer than stocks because you gain equity and eventually obtain the property as an asset. Where as in stocks you don't get much of an asset just profit! Please do update me on your Journey though!

In this day and age, you can find all the resources online. If you want to learn and save, i think the best approach is to start saving and getting free help. Post on blogs, read articles, and forums online. I think while researching about future rentals and investments you will learn about wholesaling as well. The concept isn't really hard but it is time consuming. In this business capital is key at times.

Good luck!

Any input on good rental areas in Central Jersey that aren't in a too bad area? Considering buying a rental or doing a flip. Any help would be appreciated

Evening all! New member trying to learn more about investing in real estate. I have been investing in stocks for about 5 years now and want to move on to real estate. Any tips can help! I don't mind looking at anything just yet but mainly want multifamily homes located in Central Jersey or max 1 hour drive from bridge water NJ area.

Looking forward to learning and growing with you all
