@Debbie W. Thank you!! Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly our plan. Gotta love the 0% interest from Home Depot and Lowe’s. I agree, discipline makes all the difference. Thanks!

We are about to use heloc funds as a down payment on a new house. The heloc funds can only be used on a place that will be our primary residence, so this will make our current house (the one the heloc is coming from) our first rental property. The rent that it will generate looks like it will cover the expenses + the heloc payment and the new place we’re looking at has potential to add some sweat equity. All of this being said - I’m still scared. I’m sure somebody out there has done something similar. What was your experience? I’ll take all the advice I can get. Thanks in advance.

Awesome, thanks Grant. I'm pretty sure that's the way we're gonna go too. Thanks again!

Hey everybody, Quick question, we have a house in Seattle that has pretty much doubled in value since we bought it. We don't really want to sell, but we do want to take advantage of the equity. What do you think would be better - refinancing or a heloc? And why? Thanks in advance!

Thanks @Griffin Fehrs!

The due diligence is definitely a huge priority. It seems like there has to be a catch. We'll see. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks again.

Hi everyone,

When looking at a deal that is offering seller financing, is it better to offer the terms I want first? Or ask the seller what kind of terms they want and then counter with mine?

Thanks in advance.
