I am in the middle of your age group and I am starting in the Real Estate Investiment market. I have been reading and researching. I've just finished watching videos I purchased and I also have signed up for a webinar on Wednesday you might want to sign up for so you can learn House Flipping 101: How to Find, Fund and Flip Your First House!
I am also considering partnering on my first House (flip). I really think that's where I will begin if I like the terms. If not, I have mentors I can call on. Find a mentor! I didn't realize I knew 2-3 REI's and so I am asking them to help me when it comes to foresight.
I considered Wholesaling and I am still open to it, but if I can get a house to flip I feel that would be the best way to increase my cash.
I get the feeling we are in the same boat when it comes to student loans. I too, feel I want to build this up and then pay those off down the line, but not too far down the line (3-5 years).
I read a response from someone else on rentals and I will do that after I have enough to live on immediately and then I'll build my rental portfolio.
Keep studying and hold on to information even though you may not need that information today. I wish I had a catalogue of all I've learned over the years. Now I'm in review and ready to begin!
