FOURPLEXING... OUR INVESTING JOURNEY
My fiance and I recently closed on our 3rd investment , In the coming weeks I will be gradually sharing the progress we are making with the renovations of the property. This property is super exciting for us because my fiance took the leap of faith and decided to purchase a home on his own adding to our growing portfolio. He purchased a property literally across the street from our second investment property. Eventually our plan is to own the whole street (kinda like monopoly) LOL
So how the heck did we find the property? Well this is quite an interesting story...
On our second investment property has a 6 car garage that we also rent out and some of the tenants from the 4plex were renting from us. So one day while I was working on the property, one of the tenants who rent the garage bays informed me of the potential sale of the 4plex. He knew that I was looking for another property to purchase on the same street or in the area because I would constantly tell everyone including the neighbors/landlords.
I gladly gave him my contact information to have passed to the owner. After much review of the property we felt that it would be best for my fiance Mike to purchase the property since he would be able to use a low money down financing option as opposed 20% down with a regular conventional loan that I would have had to use.
2 out of the 4 apartments are rented which is fine since we wanted to do some upgrades to the units to modernize the units a bit and then we would be getting them rented as soon as possible.
We are super excited about this project and can't wait to share pictures and more details about it!
