Assistants Help You Create Time to Work Your Self-Storage Business.

There are times when you want to do something faster than you can on your own. If you did the time audit and discovered that you really don’t have any extra time, then you need to delegate. How do you do that? You delegate to a personal assistant or a virtual assistant.

So, what do you delegate? Where did you spend a lot of time? Do you spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people you don’t really want to talk to instead of potential sellers or partners? Do you sort through hundreds of e-mails just to get to the few that will make you money? You can delegate your calls and your e-mails to your assistants. Let them sort through everything and just send you the important things.

You can train a virtual assistant or an assistant. They can shadow you for a month and watch how you respond to your e-mails and calls. When something comes up that they don’t know how to deal with, then they can forward it to you, and they will know how to deal with it next time. You will be amazed at how liberating it is not to be tied to your computer and your phone. You can actually get real work done.

There are some things that you shouldn’t be doing because you can hire someone else to do them for between $8 and $15 an hour sometimes even less than that. When people say, “I can barely keep my head afloat.” My answer is that you can’t afford not to hire someone.

Take a moment to figure out how much time you spend a week working. Now look at how much you made last year. Do the math? How much do you make an hour? Hopefully it is more than $8 an hour. Offload everything that you can to an assistant so that you can work on things that make you worth more. Why would you work for less than $8 an hour?

Once you free up your time, then you can spend your time on things that will increase your net worth. You can focus on building the relationships that will make you money. You can talk to potential sellers and build that relationship so that they will sell to you. You need to create time in your schedule so that you can fill your funnel with deals.

Don’t wait to start making time in your schedule. Start filling your pipeline with potential deals. As always, happy investing.
