How to Attract Boat and RV Clients!

When you have a boat or an RV, you live a lifestyle. People who boat typically live near water. They are active, they water ski, they enjoy the outdoors. They often travel. People who have an RV definitely travel. If you want people to rent with you, then you need to be part of their lifestyle too. You need to be in the places that they are so that they will get to know your name.

You should attend outdoor shows and boat shows and RV shows. You should consider having a booth to let people know how easy it is to store that new toy that they are thinking of buying. Find a way to become part of their community. This is a great way to meet your target audience face to face. It is also a way to get your name in front of new buyers who are looking for storage before anyone else does.

You want your website to reflect that lifestyle. You want it to appeal to people who love that lifestyle. You want them to see themselves in you and your storage facility. You want a separate website for your RV and boat storage than you have for your self-storage facility even if they are in the same place. These are two different clienteles. You need to be targeting people who are just moving to the area and the people who just purchased a brand new boat or RV.

Make sure that you have a Facebook page where you are active. You need to be posting articles that will help your boaters and RV owners. Tell them how to winterize their vehicles if that is appropriate. Tell them how to get their recreational vehicle ready for that next trip. Teach them how to find the next great spot to visit. Show them why they want to take that boat out again and most importantly, connect with them so that they want to work with you and your self-storage facility.

You can attract the right clientele simply by being in the same places that they are going to be. As they get to know your name, they will associate you with a great place to store. You want to make sure that with all of your marketing and advertising and networking, that all of your potential customers know what services you offer and how easy it is to store with you.
