Letter Home from NoteCamp - Day 1
Dear Mom and Dad,
My first day at camp was GREAT! The camp leaders (Scott Carson and Chase Thompson) are awesome and really nice. I met some other great people today too. #notecamp is teaching us note investor campers how to up our game and provide great returns for us and our investors and hopefully help out some homeowners as well.
Kimberly Banks Fawcett explained to us why she invests in both first and second non-performing notes and why it is important to know about both. She told us that when the market gets a little stagnant in one area she can then move over to the other with ease. Smart lady!
Then we met Randy Rodenhouse. He talked about strategies, due diligence, exit strategies and 10 important things to keep in mind. My favorite thing was to look for clues – he gave us some great ones to keep our eyes open for.
My favorite person of the day was Andrea Smith at FNBA. She told us all about how we can sell performing and re-performing notes and what the criteria is to do so. It was awesome information and something I had been wanting to learn.
It was a long day but the last person that we met today was Jay Tenenbaum. Holy cow, he has bought a LOT of notes in the past couple years. We got to hear stories about how he makes a great return on his money and helps people at the same time. He gave us a great resource to use for doing work-outs with the homeowners.
I really hope tomorrow is as great as today was. #notecamp is the best!
Love,
Michele
