And Poof...It Was Gone. (Business Experience)
Unfortunately in my line of work, the powers that be change their minds at the last minute all the time. So I am sitting at work typing this after being told last minute that we are in fact working the weekend.
I have always wanted to own my own business and it was right before I turned 41 that I actually made it happen. With no prior experience, I opened a kickboxing gym in the SE Houston area. With some aggressive marketing and the help of LivingSocial, I made it profitable in 4 months and it stayed profitable until I closed it last year. It was an incredible learning lesson and it taught me how much work is involved with owning a business. I plan to apply what I learned into real estate
My present work is also technically my own business. I work as a contractor, so I do work under my LLC. I deal with my own insurance, taxes and contracts, but not having any employees, makes it so much easier.
"You have to treat it as a business in order to be successful."
Completed Task From Yesterday:
Finalized logo and mascot for The Preppy Panda
Printed out DBA paperwork for signature and notary.
Listened to podcasts 35. (excellent, by the way)
Completed Units 5-6 Texas Real Estate Principles II.
I still plan on getting everything done that I would have had done if I were off. Let's see if I can do it.
Oh, and here's the logo and mascot.
