One quality tenant in- one more to go!

My first deal, a side-by-side in Middlefield, Ohio, has been an epic learning experience. We screened and interviewed our multiple tenants. About 2 weeks into it, I wanted to go against my rule of no pets and allow a family of 5 to move in with a great dane... But I am so grateful that I held out! That same week, a call came in (from our current tenant) and we set up a time to show the property. They loved the unit and were eager to move in. We just recently set them up on eRentPayment and that has been going very well! For $3 a month, the rent is collected. No mailing anything, no trying to meet up to grab the check, just very simple. Also, a report is being constructed for the tenant to present to the bank when they go to apply for a mortgage. Check it out!

With the new motivation from renting the first unit, a fire has been lit under me to really work harder at getting the other unit rent-ready. We have our work cut out for us this week, but getting this project wrapped up is HUGE! It will allow me to approach the banks for a mortgage on this property. Indeed this is an exciting time!
