If You Ask the Butcher What's Best For Your Diet You Will Get Meat

Normal 1615476879 You Dont Ask The Butcher Whats The Best Diet Because He Will Only Sell You Meat

Starting out can be a struggle. For me and my wife we knew we wanted to invest but how to invest was a different story. Fortunately after our first deal we stuck with it and turned that property into a valuable learning experience. We found working with the right people would make all the difference. We put ourselves through a lot of learning and discovering, I hope this article will work as a guide for new investors to hopefully eliminate some of the stupid tax that we went through. We want you to win and reach your goals at an accelerated rate, aligning yourself with the right people is a big first step and this is why.

Hey Butcher What Do You Recommend?

My wife and I made this mistake when first looking. We found a local residential agent who sold us our first house, the only number this guy could calculate was his commission check. This ABC realtor was no different from a butcher… If you ask a butcher what is best for your diet, chances are he will recommend meat even though you may need to be eating less of it or more of something else. Thankfully After meeting this ABC realtor we stayed in the game and aligned ourselves with an investor friendly agent who himself was investing. At the time I was a newly licensed agent as well, I switched brokerage and joined up with my new buddy who I met on Bigger Pockets.

Nutritionist, Is Meat all I Should Be Eating?

Moving forward I was working with someone that invested in real estate at a level my wife and I want to be at. My investor friendly realtor understands the ABC side of real estate deals like buying and selling a traditional property but he also understands buy and hold, fix and flips, syndications, self managing and more. Working with a realtor that invests will open the door to a plethora of options.Instead of the local pool of houses in the ABC realtors backyard you will be introduced to a realm that you may not even know exists and strategies to back it up. Working with an investor friendly realtor is like going to the nutritionist for recommendation, meat may be right for your diet but there is a lot more out there you should be open to. The education has been second to none, amazing knowledge I pass on to my clients today.

Lots of Questions are good

When working with a realtor. A great way of gauging their level of experience is by the amount of questions they are asking. The Butcher will sometimes just give an answer without knowing much about his client, here’s your meat because that's all we offer so let's close the deal. The nutritionist, our investor friendly agent, will ask lots of questions. To be completely honest the reason for that is because investor friendly agents want to keep you around knowing you will buy more properties in the future. Finding a property that fits your criteria and allows you to achieve your goals makes for a happy client and awesome referral business so when you win everyone wins.

Some Powerful Questions

“Why are you doing this?”

“Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”

“What's your comfort level?”

“Are you open house hacking?”

“Would owner occupying a duplex or quads work for you if it accelerated your goals?”

Starting our journey I walked into a butcher shop and was given what I asked for based on the information the butcher knows. Now my wife and I are at a level of nutritionist that offers solid advice and guidance for those seeking financial independence through real estate. We had a bumpy road to start but like anything in life it takes getting knocked down a few times in order to get to where you want to go. Now our goal is to help others get to where they want to go, we act as guides with the intentions of reducing the pitfalls we ran into when first starting out. If you are looking to invest in real estate my advice is work with a nutritionist, don't limit yourself to just meat.
