I found two role models Tucker Merrihew & Brian Burke

ACTION!
-Probate: Went to the court house today and found the probate files. I met Carla who was at the front desk and Sara who is in the back and she helped me with the files. I took pictures of one entire folder and plan to look over them all later.
-Prospecting: I struck up a conversation with a woman who was holding pictures of a damaged roof. She told me about an issue she was having with the neighbor not cutting down a tree and said her 'tenant' could get hurt from falling branches. Guess who is a tired landlord, owns (18) properties, and wants to sell (5) of them?
-Prospecting: Come to find out my doctor's assistant's son just started a 'mortgage field service' company. Sounds like a great lead generation/team member contact to have!

AFTERTHOUGHTS: I probably mentioned this twice yesterday... and I think it's because I get so frustrated wasting time.

I've listened to a lot of interviews over the last few months for REI and I find that many of the interviews last about an hour long. During that time I pull maybe 10-15 minutes of information which may be relevant to the title for the show.

Now some people would say, "If you get one nugget out of a three day event that makes you $50k then you'd be happy you went!"

Sure I would be happy, but I'd be even happier if I had two nuggets! Greedy? No, I think when you spend 90% of the time hyping your student program then you've let the people down who don't really need that classroom environment.

I've come to one important realization that I will say I still struggle with often... Some people need to be taught while others just need to make the decision to learn.

Become a do-it-to-yourself project.

  1. Taylor Jennings Wow, we need to get out of your way. You're the read deal! As one of your public accountability partners, let me say "good start" and "get back to making it happen!"

    1. Al Williamson Ha - thanks for the encouraging words! And joining the PAP (Public Accountability Partners) I like that club =)

  2. Hey some blog comments! Thanks for taking the time to check it out Brandon Turner Brian Burke! I've had my action section empty and my Reading/Listening sections filled for too long. It was time to switch it up a bit.

  3. You're too kind, Brandon Turner, and Taylor Jennings thanks for the shout-out. I love your action items!

  4. Nice Taylor Jennings - those interviews were some of my favorite. I had the opportunity to have dinner with Brian Burke and his wife a few months back - and he is truly the real deal and a great guy to look up to. Keep plugging away Taylor!
