It's not all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows yet...

I have a tenant, Mr. B. (I'm about to stop renting to tenants with "B" as their first initial.) We were working on the duplex last month and we were hearing a lot of barking. At the same time, one of the electrical contractors stated that he had been threatened by a dog. Excuse me, these properties are "no pets."

I immediately contacted the tenant. His story, "I broke up with my girlfriend, she broke out the window of my apartment, stole my $3000 musical instrument, and dumped her two dogs in the apartment. I don't want to take them to the pound." Me, seething, "And you think it's okay to not report the broken window as well?!?" Tenant "well, I've been having a really bad week. I had to file a VPO." Me "this is not okay, either the dogs go or you do."

Dogs gone. Window repaired. Aaarghhh.
