There are a lot of reasons to regret buying a house and you can see those in the article.

However, if you have good guidance and work though all the various scenarios you should be happy with your decision, good or bad.

Owning a house/investment property is actual work, if someone tells you differently they are lying.  The key is to minimize that work and have a team in place to deal with issues.  You should be able to talk out most of the scenarios that may come up prior to purchasing a house/investment property and see if it is something that works for you and your objectives
