Seven key advantages to investing in a US commercial property

There are seven key advantages to having a commercial real estate property in America versus anywhere else in the world:

  • 1. The laws and rights of ownership in the US are better than almost anywhere else in the world
  • 2. The laws regarding leases are clear giving landlord and tenants clear rights and obligations
  • 3. The taxes are easier to understand and implement for landlords and tenants
  • 4. The financing is easier to obtain, more affordable, and more readily available
  • 5. Americans are statistically some of the biggest consumers in the world which is very encouraging to the tenants leasing in the USA
  • 6. Many of the largest companies in the world prefer to lease in the USA than anywhere else as their corporate headquarters are usually in the US
  • 7. The stability of the political climate and currency versus many other countries around the world

So the question is: Should the investor take his/her money offshore to buy a commercial property? Or should he/she just choose one in the US and LIVE the lifestyle they are seeking out of the US?

The answer is Any time you can get a trophy property in a growing area that has a stable political climate and clear laws of ownership you will do well.
