The Electrical In Your Mobile Home

Most of the mobile homes that we buy have a couple of plug or grounding issues here and there but some like the home we are currently doing needs a new service panel and new boxes for all the plugs and switches.
If you are going to purchase a mobile home to live in get as many quotes as possible to change these issues out, most will be in the range of 2500-3500 which are all over priced considering you could learn to do this yourself with a few youtube videos and some effort. I would not recommend changing the service panel yourself but you could, but the switches and plug boxes can be easily changed out yourself just by spending an afternoon on youtube.
Most mobile homes especially newer ones require 200 amp service, some of the older homes are allowed to use 100 amp but this is not the best for all the technology we use in our homes today.
One the biggest issues we see if either plugs not being grounded or broken neutral wires, if you do not have any electrical experience it would be a good idea to contact a licensed and insured electrician in your area.
