Growing an audience for your business through ads on social media platforms is a great idea to start with, but how many likes your page has or how many twitter followers your brand has gained over a month, doesn’t really matter when it comes to earning profit from it.

Creating social media accounts for your business is all about becoming more reachable for your customers and allowing them to find as much information about your company and your services as possible. It’s indeed the best way to connect with people who either already love your brand or are still in the process of discovering it.

So what can help us grow our engagement and earn the trust of our future customers, trough social media? Well, that’s exactly why I am here - to share some tips and tricks about earning active followers and the trust of your clients.

Let’s begin by discussing why staying in service mode is important.

When you are managing a social media account for a business, your main priority is to offer your customers the best possible services by always answering their questions, meeting their needs and guiding them through your products or services. By never ignoring their questions or requests, you will be able to gain their appreciation and love for your brand, and here is how you can achieve that:

1. Search for questions.

Instead of waiting for your customers to ask you questions directly, start looking for them yourself. I bet there are many of your customers who still don’t know about the existence of your social media accounts and are looking for answers in different places, like Twitter, Yahoo Answers, Askville or etc. By tracking down the questions and answering them unexpectedly you will definitely gain customers’ attention.

For example, if you are looking for tenants for the house you own, by simply searching up people who are asking for advice on which type of house is better to rent, not only will you be able to answer a question but also offer them your own place to live.

    2. Never skip a comment.

The comment section is the most commonly used place to answer questions no matter what platforms you are using. Always keep an eye for questions and try to not miss any - give your customers access to all the information they need as quickly as possible, and prove that your brand is full of professionals and is worth working with.

Answering a question or offering them your help days or even weeks later is worthless, as people most likely will forget that they ever asked a question and were even interested in your products.

      3. Create a Q&A.

I understand that keeping up with all the questions can be difficult, especially when you are managing big business, and customers are all over your social media accounts. So my advice would be to create a Q&A.

Q&A is a list of frequently asked questions and answers to them. By creating it you will be able to avoid customers asking the same simple questions daily and prioritize helping them purchase your services.

        Conclusion:

Always being in the service mode will help you not miss out on any great deals and opportunities to promote your business or sell your products to people who are interested. It will also assist you in gaining the audience’s trust in your professionality and they will most likely prioritize purchasing your products over your competitors.
