What Makes a Good Partnership Work?

I know that a lot of people have a tough time working with partners or finding a partner. I started out with my partner. We both had our own different backgrounds, but, you know, it, it really works. There needs to be mutual respect, mutual humility of really listening to what the other person has to say and caring about what their input is and not saying you want to win or you want to be right. There should never be an internal argument about anything.

I've always been in the sales roles and also more of an idealistic dreamer where Travis is a very process-oriented implementer. I think the dichotomy of both of those personality types works really well because you have thinking about what to do and the person saying, “well then let's go do it”. It makes us drive each other.

It's incredible. We hit one hundred transactions this year and where do we go from there? Where will the company be in five years? the sky's the limit, just keep pushing. The goal is to maybe replicate this and another demographic area. Once we have this built it will be easier to replicate. Once we do that we can test it. Once we get everything as fool-proof as possible here, then we'll start to expand outside of the area.
