4 Different Ways of Leaving a Mark in Somebody’s Life
In everything we do, we are bound to impact others. This comes as we introduce new people into our lives. From this, we can confirm that there is a sort of interconnectedness that exists among us. It’s only a matter of being able to make a positive impact. The payoffs are great, not only to the other person but also to you as well.
So how can you provide a positive impact on the lives of friends, family, and co-workers?
1. Don't hesitate to help
You need to be that person who is willing to go over and beyond just to help others. Your passion should be anchored on service. Once you are able to do one simple act of kindness, your penchant for helping others will develop into a habit.
2. Spread happiness
Sadness is one of the most awful emotions that every human doesn't want to feel. When our life is being occupied by sadness, negativity sets up camp in our heads. Once there, it will keep us from achieving our goals and locks us up in a prison of self-loathing.
Fortunately, this negative feeling can be resolved instantly with the power of happiness. Smiling and sharing humorous stories can help you subvert the negativity that rests within. The other person becomes comfortable and you become just as happy knowing that you have made someone smile.
3. Spread love
Spreading love to everyone is one of the most worthwhile things to do. When we see people who are hurt physically or emotionally, we need to provide comfort and support. We can provide advice and assure the other person that they are not alone in their battles. Love should also be expressed simultaneously with generosity. When you show love to another person, you are giving him or her a good reason to live.
4. Share your inner voice.
Each one of us has an inner voice. These resemble the feelings that we wanted to express outwardly, but instead, they are kept hidden. We need to release these feelings eventually because they can also have an impact on other people.
You can express your thoughts in different ways. You can write a song or a poem, paint a picture, or narrate a personal anecdote. As long as you have something valuable to talk about, you need to share it with someone else. You can join forums or group discussions that encourage you to speak up and share your experiences, thoughts, and perspectives. When you're doing this, people will remember you more fondly based on the words that you've said and base on the same experiences that you've gone through.
