San Diego property tax

Karim E.
Posted

Hi everyone,

I am new in RE investing and I am trying to analyze some deals. I am trying to estimate the property tax rate in San Diego county ( UTC sand Mira Mesa area) but I am finding two different numbers ~0.7% and ~1.2%. Could you please help me figure out what is the proper tax rate in SD? Also, what is the average annual insurance price that should included in my analysis?

Any help will be very appreciated!

Thank you and stay safe !

Hi @Karim E. You can use 1.25% for your tax throughout San Diego...you will usually end up a little less and you can use $1,000/year for insurance for condos...you will usually end up quite a bit less than that as well but its good enough for your calcs.

Good luck!
