My contractor wont provide an estimate for work

Recently I hired a company to do all the repair work on my home after a flood. It was a large job and for the most part the company has been easy to work with and everything has gone smooth between myself, the company, and insurance. The last two items to be fixed were the siding on the house (damaged because flood happened in winter and water built up and froze in walls, pushing out aluminum siding on exterior and bending it to point of being unable to repair) and the bathroom re-tiling. The company provided an estimate to my insurance agent and the insurance company issued a check for the siding repair work, which was sent to me. I asked the company for a copy of the estimate, as I have been keeping record of all repair work that has been getting done, and they assured me that it would be sent to me asap and they wanted to get the check and get started. Because I hadnt had any issue with them to this point, I signed the check over and let them do the siding. It has been a couple of months since then, and I still havent gotten a copy of the estimate even though I have asked several times. Today, my insurance company called me to inform me that they have been told by the repair company that the siding job has been finished and they are issuing the remaining money for the siding work. The repair company has asked that when I get the check that I let them know so they can come collect it. I asked about the estimate again and was told that the insurance company didnt pay based on the estimate they provided, but paid based on the the amount the agent who inspected the damage submitted to the, so the paperwork is a mess but they will try to put together a list of costs for me.

Also, the insurance agent has told me he is going to issue the money for the bathroom repairs to me. A few weeks ago I asked the repair company about the estimate for the bathroom repairs. They told me the insurance approved it and wanted to start work, but I told them work cant begin without a list of what was being repaired and costs because I didnt even have a tile picked out since I didnt know how much the insurance company was allowing for material costs. They then told me that the initial estimate they gave insurance was not complete but they wanted to start work and would send the insurance company the bill once the job is done. This is not how any of the other home repairs were done. When I got new flooring in my living room, I was given an estimate that included an amount that the insurance company was willing to pay for the cost of the new flooring so that I was able to pick out a flooring that met the cost requirements, but now the repair company wont provide me any information about anything and keep dodging my questions about it.

What should I do? Am I at a point where I just have to sign over the remaining siding check without knowing what they actually charged? Can I ask the insurance agent for a copy of the estimate that was submitted to them? If the insurance agent is issuing a check for bathroom repairs can I just take that money and hire someone else with it or do I have to use the same repair company because the amount was based on their estimate?

I am lost at this point and would appreciate any helpful information. I just want the work finished. I am having my retired parents move in to the home and would like to get them settled without worry about repairs and contractors trying to work.
