Insurance for Occupied Property Purchased at Tax Sale

Laura Christine
Posted

Does anyone have any recommendations for an insurance company that will offer any type of coverage for my insurable interest in an occupied single family home purchased at a tax sale in Pennsylvania?

I currently have no information on the house other than what is publicly available.

I am going to be reaching out to the current occupants this week to try and find out if they plan to stay, and possibly find out how the interior looks.

The law firm that handles this sale insists that we should be able to find insurance, but I have yet to talk to any agents that have any idea how to do this.

Thank you for your help!
