Vacancy insurance while I’m away on military

Any options other than vacancy insurance while away on military orders? I hired a manager to rent out my house when I was deployed to Afghanistan a few years ago. Things didn’t go well and I ended up letting the property manager go and evicting most of the tenants she put in the multi unit when I got home.

I’m on orders again (reservist) away from home. My wife and I decided that it was too much for her to manage the property while I was away this time, so it’s vacant. I lived in the house for over 20 years and plan on moving back in the next couple years after I retire from the reserves.

I do stay at the house when I visit my family, but my wife and kids don’t stay there when I’m away.

Normally I would say it’s a second home, but my mortgage holder insists I have vacancy insurance when I away on orders.

@Gregg Reinbold I completely agree with what Bill said.  I work in the insurance industry and it is very common if a property is vacant for 60 days or longer that it needs to be on a vacant property policy.  The vacant policy is very easy to implement and switch over to an occupied policy once it is occupied.

Also, and most importantly, thank you for your service.
