Insurance for a four-plex Indianapolis

Zach Watson
Posted

Hello

First off, this forum has been a FANTASTIC resource for me on my search for a house hack. Does anyone have any advice or referrals for insurance on a four-plex house hack in Indianapolis, Indiana? I have an FHA offer accepted as of this weekend and I am currently looking into insurance options.

Thanks in advance!

It depends on the age of the property. I own a 4 unit in Carmel (just outside of Indy) that was built in 1900 - although it was completely redone to the studs and modernized about 20 years ago, due to the year built age, it was a little tough to insure. The first company I used was Midwest Family Insurance (http://www.midwestfamilyins.com/). They were good. I currently have AAA insurance on it and it's very affordable and the coverage is great.
