Problem Obtaining Umbrella Insurance
I am a out-of-state investor living in New York, but invest in Little Rock, AR. I spoke with a rep from my rental property homeowner insurance in AR (Safeco) to get a quote for a personal umbrella policy. I was told this would be difficult since I live in another state and I have no car and rent where I live. Has anyone experienced this before?

@Aaron Wade it is not necessarily difficult, you just need a broker who is licensed in both NY and AK to be able to help your situation. I’ve worked with numerous people (Mose are clients now) who are a very similar situation as you). Obtaining an umbrella isn’t impossible, BUT there are a few things you’ll need to do to get it. 1) get a named non-owner policy 2) get renters insurance if you don’t already have it 3) get an umbrella in place.
Feel free to message me for further guidance.
