2500 enough coverage for medical expense?
I've got a liability insurance policy on my rental, which covers me up to $1,000,000. However, under the terms, it looks like a single persons medical bills coverage would max out at 2500. It seems like if someone got hurt on my property this would be the number I would have to worry about. The $1,000,000 limit seems almost inconsequential in that case. Does anyone have any insight into if this is normal or ok?

Daniel,
Medical Payments coverage is used to pay Medical bills without determining if the Insured was at fault. Say the postman says he tripped on the walkway. The Insurance company might pay the $2500 in medical bills without determining if there was any fault on your part If the company felt that the loss would end up being larger, they would investigate and either pay or defend the insured. Those costs would come out of the Liability coverage.
