Insurance advice needed on apt complex

Joshua Falls
Posted

We are under contract for a complex in Illinois. I am getting the run around from some insurers saying the property does not fit their guidelines or appetite. It was built in 1968, is brick and in great shape. Brand new roofs. My broker is saying to use Farmers. Any advice on where I could turn to? The current owners are paying 30k a year and I am being told we will be around 38k a year. This is with a 5 million dollar umbrella as well.  The property is 110 units. Seneca was was on the companies that denied us.
