Florida Insurance rates???

Hello BPers,

I'd like to get some rate info from any fix and flippers in the Gulf Coast area. I will be in that area for a wedding at the end of the month and will be doing some recon. I'm looking for fix and flips. I lived in Miami up until 2006. I know the options for Insurance were limited and expensive back then.
I will be looking for SFH approx 1500sf and under. West of 41. What is required nowadays for nonres-rental policy? If your familiar with rates. Windstorm, flood etc...
Who is writing policies? Any info you could post would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

very good reason to stick with the inland areas, so you don't get stuck with Citizen's...but if you are flipping, don't you just go with TAPCO? Why the need for a rental policy.
